The purpose of our Instructional Levels is to focus on basic fundamental basketball skills, basic understanding of rules, and concepts of teamwork and sportsmanship. The first weeks of the season will concentrate on skill development and players will be instructed in a “clinic style format.” After teams are formed individual teams will primarily practice alone. At the conclusion of this initial instruction period, each week will consist of brief practice time and “controlled” games with other teams. 

Grades 2 & 3 Girls

• Practice/games on Saturday mornings at Morgan Road Elementary Gym.

• Team Selection: Players are assigned to a team generally by school or neighborhood. We will try to honor special requests. Siblings are automatically assigned to the same team.

Grades 2 & 3 Boys

Our Instructional-Limited Competitive Levels focus on all basic skills and some intermediate skills. There is more emphasis on rules of play, and concepts of teamwork and sportsmanship. Teams will have a practice (approximately 1 hour) as often as gyms are available and a weekly game. Score is kept during the games and rules are enforced more strictly (than Instructional Level play). Some level of instruction will be used during games especially in the earlier part of the season and anytime to enhance teaching of skills, rules, teamwork or sportsmanship. Coaches will be asked to help “referee” games. 

The initial practice sessions will be held in a “clinic style format” with concentration on basic basketball fundamentals.

Grades 4 & 5 Girls

• Games on Saturday afternoons at Morgan Road Elementary Gym. After teams are formed practice schedule will be determined based on gym availability and coaches’ schedule. Please note: most teams will be assigned practice times on Sunday afternoons.
• $ 100.00 per player
• Clinics/Practice begins: October 22^nd
• Player Preview: All players, (including coach's daughters) MUST attend Sunday, November 6^th at Morgan Road Elementary gym. A-L report at 1:15 PM, M-Z report at 2:00 PM  
• Team selection: COACHES ONLY, November 8^th at 6:30 PM at Morgan Road Elementary Cafeteria.

Grade 4 Boys

• Clinics/Practice begins: October 23^rd
• Player Preview: All players, (including coach's sons) MUST attend Sunday, November 6^th at Morgan Road Elementary gym. A-L report at 3:15 PM, M-Z report at 4:00 PM

These leagues more closely follow the standard rules of basketball. Each league has rules that are unique to our program and some rules unique to the players’ grade level. The underlying principle is to give players a league environment where game scores and league standings are kept and year end playoffs are offered. The basic league concept is to continue to work to teach fundamental basketball skills, understanding of basketball rules, and concepts of teamwork and sportsmanship at all levels. Generally, each team will have a team practice and game most weeks.   The initial practice sessions will be held in a “clinic style format” with concentration on basic basketball fundamentals.

Grade 5 Boys   

• Games on Saturday mornings/afternoons at Liverpool Community Church gym (formerly the Zogg School). After teams are formed practice day and time will be determined based on availability.
• $102.00 per player
• Clinics/Practice begins: October 22^nd
• Player Preview: All players, (including coach's sons) MUST attend Saturday, November 5^th at Morgan Road Elementary gym. A-L report at 4:15 PM, M-Z report at 5:00 PM 
• Team selection: COACHES ONLY, November 7^th at 6:30 PM at Morgan Road Elementary Cafeteria.
