Limited Competitive Levels These leagues more closely follow the standard rules of basketball. Each league has rules that are unique to our program and some rules unique to the players’ grade level. The underlying principle is to give players a league environment where game scores and league standings are kept and year end playoffs are offered. The basic league concept is to continue to work to teach fundamental basketball skills, understanding of basketball rules, and concepts of teamwork and sportsmanship at all levels. Generally, each team will have a team practice and game most weeks. The initial practice sessions will be held in a “clinic style format” with concentration on basic basketball fundamentals. These practice sessions will be held on Saturday October 17th & Saturday October 24th Grade 5 Boys · Games on Saturday afternoons at Liverpool Community Church gym (formerly the Zogg School)-subject to change). After teams are formed practice day and time will be determined based on availability. · $97.00 per player · Player Preview: All players, (including coach's sons) MUST attend Sunday, November 1st at Morgan Road Elementary gym. A-L report at 6:00 PM, M-Z report at 6:30 PM · Team selection: COACHES ONLY Thursday, November 5th at 6:30 PM. at Morgan Road Elementary cafeteria. · Practice begins Sunday November 8th. Please Note: Registration is limited and will be done on first come, first served basis. This league will be limited to the first 88 players who sign up. There will be NO exceptions.
